Technical Approach:
Pure AI generation with emphasis on tonal separation and texture detail. Research phase: studied BMW’s own alpine photography campaigns and winter automotive advertising to understand how professional photographers handle white-on-white scenarios.
Solution discovered through iteration: dramatic alpine sky provides contrast ceiling, frozen lake surface provides contrast floor, shadows become critical separation tool. Prompting focused on:
Sharp peak definition in background (visual interest + scale)
Surface texture variation on frozen lake (ice patterns, snow texture)
Shadow detail under vehicle (critical for ground contact definition)
Headlight glow (adds warmth + focal point in cool palette)
Multiple passes required on vehicle details – M5 grille, wheel design, body lines easily lost in white environment. Inpainting used extensively to restore BMW design language while maintaining environmental integration.
